Board of Directors: Nomination & Election Information
The Board of Directors for the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce is comprised of Members who volunteer to serve a three-year term based on a fiscal year that begins on May 1 and ends April 30. Each year, there are six seats open for the nomination and election: One seat for a member located in each of the four Southwest Valley Cities (Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park, and Tolleson) and two At-Large seats.
It is our hope that you will find your involvement as a Board Director productive and rewarding knowing your participation will contribute to keep the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce at the forefront of our business community. The role as a Director is significant, demanding, and visible. The Chamber has a commitment to its members; it is an important organization in the community, and influential throughout the region and State. A position on the Southwest Valley Chamber's Board of Directors is a volunteer position. Volunteer work is key to the ongoing well-being of your Chamber of Commerce. Nomination Process
Any member of the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce can nominate himself/herself or another member by completing the nomination form by the posted deadline. Members interested in serving on the Chamber's Board of Directors needs to read and understand the "Board of Directors Expectations and Responsibilities Handbook" prior to completing the nomination form.
